    Anyone else?

I have had the nitrile gloves cause a sterling silver ring to tarnish if I wear them for more than a few minutes. Never any skin problems with them, though.

    True Blueberry?

I put the blueberry FO in my shopping cart, and then tried to call with a question about another product. Can't reach them. When I call, the phone system answers and a recording immediately says "goodbye" and disconnects. I just sent an email.

    True Blueberry?

Thank you, lenarenee! I'll keep that in mind next time I order from Brambleberry. I hope to find a fresh blueberry scent, but blueberry jam would be the next best thing. When I soap with one that I like, I'll post back. Thanks!

    True Blueberry?

THANK YOU!!! I have never ordered from SweetCakes before, but I will right now.:dance:

    True Blueberry?

I would like to find a fragrance oil that smells like fresh blueberries. I purchased one from Rustic Escentuals, but oob it smells more like bubblegum or some generic cheap hard candy. Nothing like blueberries. I haven't tried it in soap yet. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! :)

    de-funk de pits

I had a strange thing happen with my Babassu-Magnesium Hydroxide deodorant. It was working great, and then I changed from Amazon's Babassu (Dr. Adorable brand) to Soaper's Choice. About a week after making the new batch, it was all grainy. I've never had shea butter get grainy, but I guess it's...

    Hot process soap going brown

I consider my hot process soap ready for my after-the-cook additives when it reaches gel -- looks sort of like vaseline. It is often kind of brownish in the pot, but then whitens up nicely once it begins to cool in the mold. If yours is staying brown after they cool and are cut, then I agree...

    Help re castor oil

My friends, family and I have not noticed any difference in lather in my soaps with or without Castor Oil. Friends and family didn't know which ones they were testing, or why. Now I'm just using up my last bit of castor oil and won't buy it again. I have found a huge difference by using sugar...

    Struggling with activated charcoal

I add a little beeswax (1% - 2% of oils) to my CP soaps that tend to be soft. I've read that beeswax in CP soaps prevents ash. I always spray with alcohol, so I've not had a problem with it. When I make hot process soap with activated charcoal, it hardens very quickly. With HP, I stir the AC...

    Dead Sea Mud Powder?

If it dries out, could you crush it and use it dry the same as for regular clays? Isn't that what has been done with the dry Dead Sea mud powder from Nature's Garden? I sometimes dig clay from the creek below my cabin, form it into bowls or other things, then primitive fire them. Sometimes the...

How long to cook hot process soap?

I do HP like Obsidian. I don't zap test anymore. By the time it's all, or mostly to the vaseline stage, it's fine. Different recipes have different times for the cook. Some seem to move quickly from trace to vaseline, in the mold in 20 minutes. Others stay at the applesauce stage for an hour or...

Great! This is encouraging. Thanks for the input!

    Glow-In-The-Dark Pigments

I need to order colorants soon, so I think I'll give it a go. I found an old thread where someone said he purchased a glow in the dark pigment on Facebook. It looked pretty neat, but he said he used about an ounce in a pound of soap. Seems like a lot. Mad Micas suggested 1 tsp ppo. When I try it...

    Glow-In-The-Dark Pigments

Has anyone tried glow-in-the-dark pigments from Mad Micas (or elsewhere)? I thought those would be fun for soap play dough if they actually glow in the dark. My sons would have had a blast taking a bath with that when they were little!

    Dead Sea Mud Powder?

Thank you both. That is a huge difference. Wow! I wonder if there's a difference in quality/purity. I've never ordered from Micas and More because I never catch the order times, but I think I'll try to get a pound from them next time just to compare. I'm sure I would not be able to tell if the...

    Dead Sea Mud Powder?

The shipping from Amazon is free, but Nature's Garden is expensive. That's why I decided to go ahead and get the wet clay/mud instead of getting the dry Dead Sea clay from NG. I was hoping I could find a seller who would be willing to ship in a flat rate box or envelope for a small order like...

    Dead Sea Mud Powder?

Thank you, cmzaha. I think I'll order some of the mud from Amazon. If I place an order from Nature's Garden sometime, I'll try their Dead Sea clay powder. The shipping costs more than the clay if that's all I order right now. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Dead Sea Mud Powder?

Thanks for the help Cellador! I will check those places. Also, thank you, admins for moving my post. All this time here and I never knew we had a Shopping Recommendations forum. I must not ever scroll to the very bottom. Love it! :)

    Dead Sea Mud Powder?

Does anyone know of an economical source to purchase Dead Sea Mud/Clay in powder form? I've seen the wet mud at Amazon, but that's expensive. If not in powder, where do you buy the Dead Sea Mud/Clay? Thank you! :-)
