    Best EO Brands

I've been doing some research on EO's for a friend that gets terrible migraines. The amount of EO companies out there is astonishing! Does anyone have any suggestions on brands that are reliable and have good quality? For now I'm going to use a blend in an inhaler for her. But it would be...

Comment by 'mutinyintl' in media 'Bonneville Salt Flats Soap - Lather'

I live just miles from the Great Salt Lake and was wondering about adding salt from there. I just thought it would be fun to use a local resource. How did you "harvest" it? Did you use just saltwater?

I CP soap now on a gas stove. But that's not really an option for my new area. Should I go with induction, infrared or ? Any advice on these options?

    New Soaping Area.

I'm glad I found this thread. My wife just told me I can't use "her kitchen" anymore. :-) So now I'm looking for burners and maybe a microwave to soap in a spare room. Maybe a mini fridge too. But that has nothing to do with soaping. :-)

The Best Cold Process Soap Recipe?

Thanks for all the input. I'm still learning the ropes for sure. I was thinking it was way too many ingredients for one. Also she said the recipe is to maximize lather. I'm not sure they really matters.

    Infusing oils

Thanks for that information. I watched a video on making Dandelion oil and they used fresh. But I can see how that could be a bad idea.

    Infusing oils

I'm just starting to experiment with infusing olive oil with herbs from my garden and local area. So far I have some lavender and meadow sage drying. I'm not entirely sure what those yellow flowers are :) What have you infused successfully? And did you infuse it dry or fresh?

    Sea Salt in Bars

Anyone from the N.UT area? I'd love to get some salt from the Great Salt Lake to put into some of our salts. Wonder if anyone has tried that.

    Are FO and EO interchangeable

I think I would prefer to substitute the palm oil. I would like to make it as eco friendly as possible. I'll give that a try. And thanks again for the info. I've read a couple of soap making books that really taught me a lot along with this forum.
