Is there any substitute for BTMS? I checked the INCI for BTMS on one site..i think it was lotion crafter- it was behentrimonium methosulphate, cetyl alcohol and butylene glycol.. i am not able to find BTMS anywhere.. but cetyl alcohol and butylene glycol are available.. so what should i do in...

i agree With goji_fries..some people tend to make things overcomplicated.. i always start with a plan to make a very very simple batch each time,but then i experiment to learn new things..but without using much brains..now thats very shameful to ask - is sodium lactate and lactic acid the same...

All the soaps here look great! Does vinegar reduce the bubbles? Can we add sodium lactate to it to make a stiff bar,or is vinegar bar hard enough?

Sorry its 260 g of oils that i used.. with 7% superfat, 35% water. Which gave - Cocoa butter-10.4g, Coconut oil-70.2g, Neem oil-18.2g, Pine tar-26g, Olive oil-114.4g, Castor oil-20.8g, Water-91g, Lye-33g.

No, not a single tiny bubble..just black watery thing when i rub my face..i cant figure out where i went wrong.

Hi all! Its been a month i made my pine tar soaps..i am using it from last 6 days..it is not creating any foam..its like i am applying a thin black paste on face..its rinsing off well,but skin gets dry after use..and face looks dull and dark,and no improvement in acne or pimples.. :-(

I use it in sunscreen for personal use, i have sensitive skin and it still feels good.

And this was the remaining soap i poured into silicone molds..these have fragrance added..sandalwood and rose.

For colors i used kaolin clay and some titanium di-oxide for white, activated carbon for black,red clay for red, and pink clay for pink.. but no fragrance..thats the worst part.

No,i did not tilt the mold..i used an old wedding card and placed it tilted in the mold..it curved by itself after few pours..i poured white,then black,till the black was finished..then i poured red and white in the same manner..then pulled out and then poured pink at last.

I dont know what is it called? I thought its called tiger stripes, but then it looked like zebra..and then when i finally cut it down,it was nothing like i watched in videos..hahaha..and i dont know what swirl these are..i planned to do a lot of things,but my new mold was really big for the...

Ok..i will keep that in mind from next time..this one is already diluted and i think zap test is of no use now.
