My first batch! With more pics than you could ever want!

Really nice job for your first batches... and the cocoa powder swirl looked so nice! I liked the contrast between the top and the inside.

I would like a critique of my new online site Please!

Very nice look and feel to the overall site. A couple things though: 1) Double check spelling (e.g. "Coming" rather than "Comming"). This is not a huge deal, but I think misspelled words give an unprofessional look to an ecommerce site. 2) I agree that ingredients lists would really lend...

Website advice please? Traffic but no sales!

The only thing I can really think of to add to what others have said is to have another look at product packaging. I'm sure it's a massive undertaking to completely revamp packaging, but personally (as an online shopper), I'm much more drawn in by a cohesiveness between site design and product...

I loved the wispiness of the swirl in the wisteria... makes it look delicate and evocative (can almost smell it from here!)

    coconut cream

Out of curiosity, where are you getting your Coconut Cream, BG? I've had a difficult time locating cream at a good price vs. milk. Or are you not differentiating between the two?

    coconut cream

Soapbuddy is right, the thickener/emulsifier combo is usually guar or xanthan gum and casein in coconut milk, which will definitely react with the soap process. coconut cream

This isn't exactly a direct answer to your question, but you don't have to add milk or cream to lye at all. You can divide your liquid in half, use half cream, half water, and mix the lye in with the water half, adding cream at trace. And if you want 100% coconut milk soap, add powdered coconut...

Newbie Question - Shaving Soap HP or CP

I've never done the shaving soap, but I've seen Irish Lass talking about her own shaving soaps in several posts, and they sound divine. I'd do a search for her, and see what she's got to say, as she seems very experienced with them. HTH
