Dead sea salt usually does not work well in soap, as it contains a high percentage of minerals that interfere with saponification. DEAD sea salt has a different mineral content than regular (sea) salt.

High-quality fragrance oils stick in soap longer than many essential oils. I have bars from 3 years ago scented with BB's Energy (tart and sweet citrus blend) that are still strong.
