Salt bars...what size of salt grain do I get???

Dead sea salt usually does not work well in soap, as it contains a high percentage of minerals that interfere with saponification. DEAD sea salt has a different mineral content than regular (sea) salt.

Yep, I ordered their Tassi Lavender recently, I love it! I have never tried SS's Red Santal.

That's surprising, as it sticks like glue at .85 oz ppo (~5%) in my CP. It soaps beautifully too.

How can I get this effect?

I don't think this is all CP soap.

Your secret to making the scent stick?

High-quality fragrance oils stick in soap longer than many essential oils. I have bars from 3 years ago scented with BB's Energy (tart and sweet citrus blend) that are still strong.

Wow, tried this Euro salt recipe, love it!

This has been my experience as well.

Yes, Oregon Trails sells a fragrance oil called "Hawaiian Sandalwood", but it's not Tradewinds' HS.

It sticks for me at .85 PPO, soaps great too, no A or D. I have a 3 year old bar that still smells divine.

    Texas Embeds.....

Did you put some M&P balls inside the soap as well? I am looking at the yellow swirl and the ball in the lower part... And yes, your soap looks fantastic!!!

How much does Sodium Citrate speed trace?

I use it at up to 2% - I haven't noticed any acceleration.

    Verdict on my charcoal soaps

In my experience, black oxide is more likely to cause grey lather than charcoal. I use activated charcoal at 1 tsp ppo and I don't get colored lather.

    Using Crisco

Yes, but whenever you use different oils, you need to recalculate the lye.
  19. S

    Using Crisco

It moves quite fast, makes hard bar, very white, doesn't lather a lot. Very mild for skin after being cured for 6 weeks.
