Other than using TD to make a white soap, what oils would you guys use to achieve a nice white bar. I'm thinking not to gell as well?

I am going to try again. I love the black look! The smell is ok as I added lavender EO, can't wait to see a lovely shiny smooth bar !!

I don't know why I put it in the oven. I think I had a pine tar moment !!! I think if I had just left it in the mould it would have been fine. I think it's the type of soap that needs a quiet time !! Recipie was only 5% super fat usual mix castor cocoa palm olive coconut. Just didn't like heat !

i just made a batch of soap with morrocan fig fragrence oil. I usually use EO's but fruit smells seem to be popular here so i thought i'd give it a go. the batter siezed so quickly i had to jam it into the container. id done three coulour and was attempting my first hanger swirl, no such luck...

i think ill have a go at adding the milk powder to the lye/water solution at room temp as kazmi suggested. thanks for all the replies - you have saved me from having to throw away a whole batch of soap- the trouble is with me that i never stick to the recipie......

yes - i started to mix some milk powder into small ammount of batter and it started to go thick and gloopy, so i didnt add it to the main batch of batter.
