When I soaped with heavy cream, I had my cream at room temperature like my lye and oils. I soap at room temperature because it is easier to not have to worry about the temps.

I decided to try my hand tonight and make beeswax melts and I melted the wax in a 4 cup pyrex measuring cup.....mistake! I can't get the remaining wax off the inside of the measuring cup. Any suggestions if perhaps I should have used some nonstick spray or something else to melt in?

I actually have two of these molds and had issues with the fact that I had to line them. I contacted the guy via EBAY and he informed me that I can put the mold in the oven at 180 degrees and then cut the oven off and leave it for about 4 hours. This has worked so well for me. If the mold...

To be honest Carebear, I have never even heard of it or what it's intended usage should be so I was curious. After reading about it on the internet, it seems to have lots of pros and cons.....I am going to keep reading before I make a decision on this one!

There are so many sources out on the internet these days that you are not always guaranteed to be able to determine whether the sources are legitimate. I was simply trying to help start the process for the benefits of sulfur soap since I had never heard of it.

I was not good at the bar cutting process so I had to get a mold that separated them out for me. All I have to do it a little touch up sometimes but that's it.

Well, I was feeling a little adventurous this weekend and tried my first three color swirl and my first essential oil blend. This soap is scented with Lavender, Tea Tree and Lemon essential oils. I am so in love with this scent, I am hoping the tumeric lightens up a bit during the curing...
