Well the attempted lather isn't coloured and I've used this base recipe before a heap of times and had great results. Normally a rich, bubbly lather. I thought wine would make more bubbles like you mentioned. It's all so confusing as to why it's so flat.

It should be "Betty White old and still fresh", like the lady herself.

How old are we talking about here? Like, Betty White old or just a couple of days old? I've layered CP soap that was a couple of weeks old with fresh CP and it was all good.

I've had the lye fumes blown towards me more than a few times when mixing the solution outside and every time I've ended up with asthma. Doing a pencil line with mica or just using mica in general can also trigger asthma in me. I now wear a mask when mixing lye and handling mica. I look like...
