Well then is right!!! This was intended to be a reply to the baking soda and honey post from someone else and ended up on its own..Sorry for the confusion!

    well then

There must be a way to incorporate the baking soda into the paste or toothpaste wouldn't contain it. Hmmm, what's the secret ingredient?

    Honey and baking soda

Just being devil's advocate, but why couldn't this just be a honey/baking soda washing paste? Oh, did I make something up there? Hehe. Wondering because then you could eliminate the chance of a lye/baking soda reaction and keep the ingredients that are supposed to work.

Can anyone tell me where they are getting labels?

I use the 1.8"x 1.8" waterproof labels from Rustic Elements. They are the easiest to work with, fit around a .15 oz. round tube perfectly and look nice.

HUGE LIST of stuff for sale-Soaping and Bath/Body stuff

So I have learned lots and had fun making soap, shampoo, shampoo bars, lotion. Now it's time to try my hand at something else, though I don't know what it will be. I just know that I need to unload a bunch of supplies and ingredients that consume my hobby bench. I have everything from F.O's and...

    HLB value

Does anyone know the HLB value of pumpkin seed oil? I am trying to learn how to formulate with HLB values and just can't find that one anywhere on the internet.

    Shampoo separation :(

It was definitely the salt that caused my trouble. I concentrated the shampoo this time and made a coordinating conditioner and so far they look great in the bottle. I'll test them tomorrow. I am curious to see how the conditioner comes out of the airless pump bottle I have it in. It's the...

    Shampoo separation :(

I will reply to my own post, since I think I figured out the problem. I think I must have added just that little bit too much salt and caused the solution to "crash" and start going the opposite direction (thinning). Plus, I am a dumb bunny because I just should have concentrated the batch...

    Shampoo separation :(

I have been dabbling in making a liquid shampoo, based off of the info on swiftcraftmonkey's blog. Such good info there! The thing is this: I find my final product to be a bit runny for my liking. Therefore, I have a couple of options for thickening. I have Crothix and I have table salt. I...

    creativity needed

I need to make a batch of Sugared Lemon soap (CPOP) for a friend at work. I am not feeling creative and welcome ideas for making it. I will be using the green Crafter's choice loaf mold. Fire away.... I will use my standard recipe. I am looking for ideas on how I should put it together...

    Pictures of my products! =)

They all look very nice, but I have a question. Is there any copyright infringement on the name Chap Stick? Just saying.

Ya knew it wouldn't work, but...

You just may have inadvertently come up with the alternative to "mouse poo" (lav. buds)! I think it's awesome. Nice mistake!

    bad soap, please advise

Oh, my...this is horrible. My sympathies. :(

    SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

Calendula is always nice for it's perported anti-inflammatory properties (just can't make that claim on your product) and oatmeal is very soothing.

    what IS a salt bar?

Salt bars in a divided slab mold are da bomb!

    Zum bar Sea Salt

Do you suppose they anchored it with Litsea and a tad of patchouli?

    Zum bar Sea Salt

Where did you see the bar? If it was at Whole Foods, then just go to their essential oils and smell the lemongrass. It says they use pure essential oils and knowing that (if true) would mean perhaps it was lemongrass or a combination of a couple diff. oils.
