Looking for a 6 or 9 bar slab mold...

Deda, I have become affectionately attached to CPOP and I see that on the Kelsei site, they don't guarantee the molds if used in the oven. I never go above 170 degrees for an hour and then turn the oven off. I guess I will keep looking. I think the one for me will be to make a wood support boxto...

Looking for a 6 or 9 bar slab mold...

I don't really know what dimensions...I just want to buy a 6 or 9 bar slab mold with dividers...preferably a Nizzy. I woudn't mind spending some money on a silicone lined tray, but don't see any for sale anywhere. I want the finished bar to measure 2.5x3x1.25 Any ideas for me?

    mango butter?

That totally explains the graininess that I feel in my not-so-old lip balms. I like the properties of mango butter, but if this is a problem, it's not going in my lip stuff. Any ideas what is a better additive similar to mango butter that doesn't cause graininess? I need smooth, too and don't...

    More Newbie start-up stuff

I have a friend in Canada who inquired about the majority of the FO's and I just got off the phone with Fed Ex. They said that for me to send 60 oz. package to Canada, the cost I would incur would be $130.73 not including the tax and duty! I'm trying to pick my jaw up off the floor!

    What's your advice?

I am wondering about something related to lip balm: 1. What are your experiences with places to order flavorings from? Best seller flavors? 2. Is your experience that people like tubes better than other vessels for lip balm? My husband asked the gals at work and they all said tubes. I want...

    Cutting Soap

I have a Nizzy planer, too and the first, yes...the first cut with it was my finger, not the soap. Nice, huh?

Do ya feel lucky, punk??? (ridiculous, but true)

It still smells like butt today and I lightly scented it with coconut FO from MMS. Honestly, it smells like a really bad tanning lotion. Ugh! I will return to my CP and do some cucumber this weekend. It will no way be ready for that shower I am helping host...gotta figure out what to do...

Hey, don't feel too sad when Rodgers schools Favre on everything Favre refused to teach him. Look out waffling traitor, your backup QB is coming for ya!

Do ya feel lucky, punk??? (ridiculous, but true)

I, in all my tired and infinite wisdom decided that before bed this morning (have to work the night shift this week), I would measure out the next batch of soap I need to make. I have to get it made so it's usable in about 2 weeks. So, I opened up my trial version of SM3 (awesome by the way)...

How long did it take you?

To love or hate the process you currently hold to for soaping most of your batches? Did you know right away? Was it instant love? I have tried to love CPHP because it seems like the one-pot method would be a cinch. Why is it that every time I do a batch in there, whether from scratch or...

    Nursing school stress relief

I wish I had soaping to distract me when in nursing school! I drove myself nearly insane trying to get through. It looks like you have found a calling for your stress-relief. I love your bars, expecially the bottom one with the lemon zest. Isn't this fun?!

    help with my lovely dog...

Get her a crate, don't be afraid to use it when you are gone. This is a comfort zone both for your dog and for you! Then while she is in her crate acclamating to it, settle in with a nice cocktail or glass of wine and celebrate the safety of all things not-to-be-chewed.

How do I make a whiter soap?

I have some watersoluble TO at home and have failed to get it to work properly despite several attempts. I tried adding it to the lye water, I tried adding it to the soap after trace, no success. It always leaves a grainy undissolved appearance. I highly recommend using oil-soluble TO. You...

Ugh... why did I do this?!?

Kittywings, I am with you! I insanely went to the basement to get my crockpot to try to save a batch of cucumber soap that seized on my yesterday. It's cooking now. I hope I don't mess it up! We shall begin a club and call ourselves Nocturnal Rebatchers.
