This is my attempt at rooibos chai tea

Oh...so these bars have cured, and this is as dark as they got!!! Wow! that's not bad at all for 2% vanilla.

Fixing the smell of essential oils

Good thing I only do a couple soaps with eo...guess I'll be recalculating the amount of eo that goes in them!!!

    Goats Milk SOap HELP!

@Ginka-If I knew my soap was gelling, I would not try to stop it because a full gel is much better than a partial one. The gel phase will not destroy your soap, it will only make it darker (and other things) but many force gel...it's not a bad thing. And sometimes it's pretty much inevitable so...

    BitterCreek

I get a few from them too, I've liked them all exept the fresh peach...it faded to nothing by the end of the cure. But I love their hot maple toddy and spiced chai...which I use in tarts, and lemon pound cake smells devine, but it will discolor. I hate that they stopped selling the rainbow...

    Sage

What about clary sage eo...is that at all close to what you want? Maybe a blend of the two. Just wondering if you have come up with anything yet...

    Coconut or Pina Colada FO??

I concur...tried a few coconut scents, but peaks is the best I've found, and it does stick well in cp too.

    Nature's Garden

I get several from NG that I really like. I agree with the others about perfect man, also like stormy night, cool citrus basil, australian bamboo grass, loving spell, blackraspberry vanilla, bayberry, tahitian waterfall, and misbehavin. (maybe others I can't think of) :)

    Fragrance refresher?

I'll have to keep the cottonball in mind...interesting! I have had the scent revive once you use the bar before.

    2nd batch done!

Just a little heads up...that Black Canyon is going to discolor like no bodies business. But you may already know that, lots of reviews out there about it. But hey, it smells awesome!! :)

You know you're a soapmaker when...

I can go right along with the buying expensive oils that you wouldn't one time buy for food, and the kitchen gadgets that I inspect for how the can relate to soaping...but I remember a post way back on a thread like this that really hit home: you know your soapmaker when your taking more...

    Curing time

Same answer from me...I've always thought of soap being somewhat like wine or cheese that the longer the cure the better. ;-) no matter how it's made.

A pool of liquid in the center

    That is a pretty blue...glad it wasn't ruined! :)

New to soaping question about fragrance oil

I use the Loving Spell from NG too, and the scent lasts right on and on...it's definetly a sticker.

New to soaping question about fragrance oil

For the most part...No, you won't smell it on your skin, as soap is a rinse off product. However, there are a few that linger on the skin. I've found that most pumpkin scents and most of the manly type fragrances will leave a scent behind on your skin when rinsed away...but most do not. As far...

    Favored NG FO's

Some of my favs from NG are: the perfect man, blackraspberry vanilla, stormy night, pumpkin apple butter, australian bamboo grass, misbehavin, cool citrus basil and bayberry.

Pumpkin pie FO in cp soap

I like the pumpkin spice from SS too, but the pumpkin apple butter from NG smells amazing!!! http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/candlemaking-soap-supplies/item/rf-77712/-Pumpkin-Apple-Butter-Fragrance-Oil.html

Looking for a really nice Bayberry scent for soap

I love ng bayberry, and it's a real sticker. I've got a bar that's about 8 months old now and it's still going strong...
