    One more with embeds...;-)

Thanks Green Soap! No, it's just a plain old IPS. Sometimes they just do really, really well for some reason, but as you can see in the other pics I posted...sometimes they don't. :?

Here's a picture of the Autumn scents: CranApple Marmalade, Autumn Magic, Pumpkin Spice and Spicy Apple and Peach. And here's one of the Christmas scents: Christmas Memories, Mistletoe & Ivy, Vanilla Bean Noel and Bayberry.

    One more with embeds...;-)

Okay so I like playing with embeds a little...but really most of my soaps don't have them. This was one of the Christmas scents that I've actually used for the past few years...and LOVE it! (it's bayberry)

    Mmm Watermelon

Had to share this one because it's not all too often that a soap turns out just like you planned...LOL! But this one pretty much did, I was pleased with it. I layered the two colors on the bottom, then I staggered rods of black soap throughout the remainder of the batch. I used rods so that...

A fun look for a fun scent!

I haven't shared any pictures in a very long time, so I thought I'd try to share a few of some that I've been working on lately. I call this one Fun & Fruity. I use fruity rings from NG and it really smells awesome!

    Love spell attempted layers

Yep, I agree with others...you can't really tell what you're going to get until you cut into it. I imagine it will be great! Sometimes it's so hard to wait till you can cut and see what surprise awaits you. :-P

    Oatmeal in soap

I've never used cooked oats, so I wouldn't be able to compare the two. I can say I've used oats for years and never had a problem with them. Like others I grind into a fine powder in my magic bullet.

help me tweak my lotion recipe?

I use a little more water and a little less oils/butters in mine...but I also like to add some sodium lactate to the water phase, and some cyclomethicone and dimethicone in the cool down...they add to the "glide"...might be what you're looking for.

    Alligator, dragon, or just ugly?

It turned out very nice!! I hate when I forget something and have to mess up a perfectly good swirl. :problem:

    green colorant for CP

Super nice soaps Houseofwool!!! Have you used wheat grass before? Just wondering if it stays that pretty green color, or if it changes over time. I've used a few "natural" colorants including spirulina, but I just can't get pretty, lasting shades of green with them...they all seem to fade or...

    Orange Peel Wax

LOL!! I read the reviews from NDA...I think that's actually where I got mine...and I was sort of surprised to see how some of them use it, so I was hoping I could find more about using it in soap here. But thanks anyway!! :-)
