wow...that is alot of lye. i buy soy wax 100 pounds at a time to make candles...but i guess thats alil different than lye lol im going to home depot tomorrow to look for it.

in one of my last posts, someone told me i could get lye at lowes in the plumbing section but i dont have a lowes close to me. there is a home depot though...does anyone know if home depot carries lye? thanks

I have made some melt and pour soaps but i would like to try my hand at cold process soap. Where would i be able to get all the ingredients like lye and the oils? Is there any stores that would carry them? if all possible i do not want to order online...i am trying to avoid the shipping costs...

Hi, i just found this board! it looks like a great place! I have been making candles for about 6 months...i make soy candles and i sell there here and there, at flea markets and online. I am just getting into soap making...i havent made any yet but i got some melt and pour bases at pat catans to...
