This one started out as white soap with a pretty black swirl with orange so & banana and coconut eo. Charcoal soap riced up, I overheated the soap wrapped in towels and it just oozed out all the fo's & eo. Then a pretty bad rebatch...

Started out with a faux funnel trace at a very light trace then did a hanger swirl once poured. Pink sort of popped out giving it a grainy look

Thanks. It's dried out quite a bit now and the swirls have taken on a wood-grain effect

Scented with neroli & rhubarb & custard fo. Lovely colours but the pink should darken over time

Thanks Rowan. It did a bit but the last batches of soap I made all accelerated (or seized up in the case of vanilla soap). But I was thinking it might be the lye cos it was clumpy. In fact I changed the lye for the last soap (HERS posting pics too :) ) and it turned out ok

Hi, has anyone tried to add calamine powder to soap? Does the colour change or will it stay a nice pink? Had an idea for green tea, kelp and english rose soap (sounds weird but I love to experiment) and want a nice green/pink colour for it :)
