Cube soap (aka damn you BB)

I'm not here to pass geometry class, it looks like a cube in the picture so I'm calling a cube. I missed that it was silicone. Still can't see me getting the soap out without mutilating it though.

Peak's Spruce Berry =WSP's Sugared Spruce

Dang it, I don't think that was one of the ones I ordered for the sale. Maybe they'll have another sale in the next couple weeks lol.

    Dennis?

Dennis wasn't around for very long - did anyone happen to get a PM to know where he went? He was so fun with his soaping saturday pjs and very animated posts.

Stupid mistakes and bone headed thinking.

The ring in the middle was partial gel. I get it every time I try to prevent gel, even when I put it in the deep freeze immediately after pouring, so I gave up and just try to get a complete gel lol It has been summer though, maybe it'll be different this winter in a colder climate.

A teaser and Pumpkin Pie soap.

The pumpkin makes me want to go make pie, yum! Love the wrapping too, and can't wait to see them all cut.

Cube soap (aka damn you BB)

BB linked this on their facebook page and I WANT I WANT I WANT http://www.brambleberry.com/Product.asp ... egoryId=79 Never used plastic before though, even with added sodium lactate, what kind of cure before unmolding is needed? And how the heck do you actually get the soap out?

Random "stuff" for running a soap making business.

My sense of humor... well I have one and we'll leave it at that. My hubby is my massage therapist. By the time I see him again in Nov, it'll have been 6 months since I last saw him and my back hurts. Screw nookie, I want a back rub! :D (mostly kidding)

Super, super cute. I love the color combo and the swirls and layered effect with the shreds in the top. Just awesome.

Just go to a butcher and render it yourself :D I love tallow... I ran out and am using up the last of my palm and the bars aren't as hard...the lather is better too (on the tallow bars).

The timing of things. . .

I'd forgotten about the cabbage leaf. I only had mastitis twice (nursed 4 kids total of almost a decade) but the 2nd time I tried that and it actually worked. Just place a whole leaf (cold from the fridge) on your ****(s). Replace as often as you want. Alternating warm/hot and cold is good...

    Apple Jack Peel

Very nice!!! Love the line and contrast from colored (and the swirly marbled look) to uncolored.

    Seperation?? Should I remelt?

Did you get this recipe from somewhere? Even 0% SF (no extra oils) only calls for 9.6oz lye- that's some really caustic soap! You would need to add about 25oz of olive oil to get to 5% SF.

    ETSY low sales + insurance

    1. Most business don't start seeing a true profit for many years. 2. Doing any sort of business with out protecting yourself can end up far more costly than the insurance would have been, even if you make squat for income. 3. I have 1 etsy sale for my web development. I like etsy ok but it's...
