Soap Maker - packaging after making a batch

It does make sense... it's not what I wanted to do (I actually want to edit the batch that's there now, not make a new batch - won't that mess with inventory?)... I am SO not getting this part of it... Here's what I'm looking at.... I click on the batch and get the edit button...

Soap Maker - packaging after making a batch

I really appreciate the help! When I click on edit, then recipe, it opens up, I make the packaging change, click save as, then go back to the made batch and it doesn't update to the new one. Dunno what I'm doing wrong!

Soap Maker - packaging after making a batch

Packaging is entered with prices showing correctly. This is what help says: So I'm trying to do exactly that, but it's not working. I can't find anything else on it. What version are you using? I upgraded to 3.5.0 and think it has bugs anyway, maybe this is one of them that you don't have...

Soap Maker - packaging after making a batch

Nothing I do will update the "total cost" or "value" of the batch. I've tried saving over the original recipe, and saving it as a new one to connect the batch to, and the price stays the same. :(

    Business planning

I hate debt as well, my start up funds have been from my tax return as well. I do have a business plan that I'm constantly working on, fine tuning. I took some entrepreneur courses in college and they really helped me figure out the work needed to put into a successful business.

Soap Maker - packaging after making a batch

Hmmm I went through and did that, but it's not saving the new recipe with packing to the batch I made. I'll mess with this tomorrow, I might just be over tired! Thank you for the walk through :)

    Bloggers/businesses asking for samples

Thank you both, I'll just thank them for their interest and suggest they sign up on Facebook or for the newsletter to learn when I go live, then they can purchase them. Maybe the box thing will let me send business cards with a coupon on the back.

    Bloggers/businesses asking for samples

Much to my surprise, I've been getting emails from people wanting me to send samples... like the journalist wanting a sample to review which they post on their blog; or the company that puts together sample boxes that people buy... they allow mo less than 25, and suggest 40-100 (or more) so that...

alas, hideous discoloration -- somali rose, black canyon

I soaped black canyon today, a uncolored and blue ITP swirl and so far, it's perfect, it'll be interesting to see what it ends up looking like. I think your soaps are lovely!

FCO massage oil for DH's sore muscles

I did a combo of FCO and grapeseed (2.5oz total) with .5oz beeswax to make it more salve-like (keep the mess down) and added 2 drops camphor, 6 drops each rosemary and eucalyptus, and maybe 1/8 tsp menthol crystals, tested it on my own super sensitive skin (no problems) and used it on DH...

    Your Thought's

I wouldn't do it. Don't think it's the best idea. If you can't keep up, make bigger batches/use bigger molds. Hire help. Don't cheat the customer out of the best bar you can provide.

Soap Maker - packaging after making a batch

How do I do this? I added a recipe to my recipes, made it, came back and clicked "make" - but I don't know how I'm going to package it later once the soap is cured, so I left that section blank. I want the packaging to be reflected in the total cost.

    Peak Georgia Peach

Love the scent but it riced on me. HP saved the soap but so much for my pretty peach colored ITP swirl idea :/ Anyone else try this one?
