That's what happens for being a CHEAP O!!!

The worst offenders were the Vanilla's. I can't remember who the manufacturers were but there were several that would damage molds. It's terrible. I remember my shock when I tried to unmold an absolutely yummy smelling batch and the white plastic was webbed right into the soap! It wasn't the...

    Homegrown Luffas!

Wow, that's awesome..I have never even seen loofah seeds. What kind of growing conditions do they need and where did you get the seeds? I would love to try to grow them. I'm on the west coast, I wonder if they would grow here.

    3D PEONY

When you see what you have at the end the ten minutes is well worth it. I haven't figured hwo to make them with cp yet. It would take much longer I'm sure if it's even possible at all. I'll work on it though and see if it can be done. The soap would be quite thin ...very tricky... :shock...

    3D PEONY

That's so cool! I bet that it was time consuming. It takes about 10 minutes per flower when you begin with the Peony. Once you have done a couple and know which petals you want 'where' it goes much faster. It only looks hard...it's easy. Making the petals is quick, you take the soap out...

    3D PEONY

All of the 3D flowers (Iris, Rose, Magnolia, Dhalia, Hibiscus, Pansy & Tulip are Petal by Petal. You can make the Rose, Dhalia and Peony varying sizes and shapes by adding or removing petals. You can really let your creativity....blossom :D Thanks everyone for all your comments...

I am so sorry that happened to you. Some fragrances can actually web themselves to the molds if you can believe that. What molds did you lose Lorie

    what went wrong?

Hi As Carebear said, 40 oz of Olive makes for a really soft batch. Coconut too can be quite soft depending on the temp in your soap room. I have had batches of 100% Olive that have needed about 10 days. So, it's not necessarily something you did wrong. How was your lye? Any lumps in it...

I need a good recipe for use in semi-intricate clear plastic

Hi....I can help you. Your recipe does not have to change. What oils are you using in your current recipe? Any cp recipe will work in a plastic mold, I even do Castille which is very soft in plastic molds without fail, just a little prep is needed. Do you know who the manufacturer of...

Hmmmm..... I got a new router for my computer and since I had it put in ..no more notifications of posts from the forum. I didn't receive any of your comments. Janey didn't tell me what colours she uses but I could ask her if she would share. Her soap is LUSCIOUS looking isn't it. I'll...

    3D PEONY

I love this one. It measures 5 inches in diameter and weighs approx 3.5 oz. This is mp. But once I have all the designing done, I'll be trying it in cp as well for all of them  This one I scented with Gardenia as I don't know of a good Peony scent out there. If anyone knows of one...

Why can't you use Fryer Fats?

Here's why NOT: Oils used in cooking, are generally used at high heats ie: donuts...deep fryers, bacon...grills. They are heated to 350 degrees plus. Any oil raised to that temp will go rancid quicker than the 'virgin' oils that we use in soap. We monitor the temps only bringing the solid...
