the only thing i can see that would cause it is the new FO or you may have experienced a false trace or something along those lines. My lye is usually warmer than my oils and i add things to the oils instead of at trace all the time so i dont see how that would be an issue. What kind of FO did...

We use lard for our laundry soap, its cheep and effective. I would ask her about it, she might not have an issue with it at all. My vegetarian friend has no issue with any of my soaps that contain lard or animal fats of any sort.

The only ingredients I use are from the health foods store (they sell shea butter, hemp oil Fresh goats milk etc,) and things I find from the grocery store. I use lard frequently and never have an problems. Same with coconut milk. You should be fine :)

yeah i noticed that they changed the packaging the last time that i was at wally world. I walked past it twice before i saw it. Im not exactly thrilled because i had just gotten used to heating the old containers on the stove and now i have to see if this one will even let me do it.

I'm glad its not just me. I'll have to start using borax. I've been using distilled water for the dilution and adding sugar seems to be helping but its just so frustrating

After I cut my soaps I subtract 38% of the weight and that's the weight of oils. When I give/sell bars I tell them the weight of oils not the weight of the soap bar itself because more and more water evaporate as time goes on.

The one that's completely clouded is the one I made last night. The one in the middle is one I made 4 weeks ago and the one in the dial container is the one I made 2 months ago

It took about an hour to cook everything and after I molded it I put it in the freezer for an hour. Then another hour till I could cut it :)

@rock&royalty: thank you :) but its not scented. I don't know how I forgot to put it in I was originally going to scent it with tea tree oil, eucalyptus, and peppermint but I guess I was just to tired when I was cooking it up.

Its not a essential oil, oil or a fragrance oil. Its just simply powdered down black walnut shells. Although there may be an essential oil out there for it. Or an oil version of it. I just used the powder form from the capsules

I got it in the health food store. They are in little gell capsules. I believe its used for digestive health but don't quote me on that one cause I'm not totally sure. Its sold online as well
