Tess I usually use buttermilk powder in my recipe - but I think a straight substitute would work fine. Perhaps do a very small (1 bath tub amout) test? Tanya :)

I have used green tea extract (liquid) in my soap - I accidentally added 25ml to 1000gm oils! Definitely a mistake as far as expense goes :shock: I meant to add the FO at 25ml, not the extract. The recipe took a longer while to firm up compared to my regular soap recipe. It is now medium...

I love ricebran oil and macadamia oil in my soap. RBO is similar in its properties to OO and macca oil adds a silkiness to the lather and the feel of the bar imho. I usually soap macca oil at 10% but go up to 25% with the RBO. Avocado oil is beautiful too. Have fun! Tanya :)

I agree Deda - I haven't been able to get the liquid over here in Oz so went with the powdered. The liquid would be a breeze to use imo!

Ian, I have used powdered silk amino acids and also tussah silk fibre in my CP soap. Both added silkiness and I love them. The fibre is just soooooo cheap in comparison to the powdered and the lye water dissolves the fibres completely. The powdered silk is already processed so is probably...

I don't have that one yet Artisan, but Aussie Soap Supplies website says it works wonderfully in CP and discolours a light brown. They are always spot on with their info so I think you are good to go. Tanya :)
