    Christmas Tree Soaps

My mom gave me a candle mold my grandmother had never opened (probably from the 60s) that was a Christmas tree. Turns out, it makes a really cute Soap! They're a little bigger than guest soap size. I used a LCP Clear Glycerin and colored with matte chromium oxide. Im' debating a little snowflake...

    Mixing Fragrane Oils

So, I bought the Holly Balsam II and the Canyon Falls FO from Bulk Apothecary. I really like the Canyon Falls, but the Holly Balsam is a little too... Yankee Candle for me. (if that makes sense). I wanted to use it to make Christmas tree soaps, and I was wondering if you can mix FO from...

    Hello from VA!

Hello everyone! I kind of did things backwards, since I posted a couple questions before doing an intro, but better late than never, right? I've made other kinds of bath and body products for awhile, but I hadn't been able to try soap until this year. Now, I'm hooked! I'd like to be able...

    Feedback on a recipe... Please!

Thanks dixiedragon! I will definitely keep that in mind. And when I made it I apparently wasn't thinking, so the plan is to probably scale it down to make a quarter that much... just in case. :)

    HELP! Acrylic Molds

I have seen these used and they just unscrewed everything and then slid a knife along the side to help break the vacuum. Have you tried that?

    First batch of CP soap!

Susie and Arimara - that actually makes me feel better. lol Penelopejane - I used a bench scraper that I've dedicated to soaping. It has a pretty thick edge, not thin like a knife. Maybe that was the problem?

    First batch of CP soap!

lenarenee - I added lavender essential oil to it, but that's it. I stick blended to light/medium trace and the oil and lye water were both between 110-120 degrees. It hasn't weeped any water, and I did the tongue zap test and there wasn't a jolt of any kind. (though I've never licked a...
