So a friend asked me to build a Moon Shelf for curio stuff.
I really just winged it. Normally I use graph paper and sketch out what I'm making, this, I just did it.
First photo is Stripe AKA Baloo.
Second photo is Storm, Stripes dad, and Skye, Storms dad, and baby Stripe.
I've titled this one "The Blue Merle Mafia".
I have a boy in college and one in grad school, dorm, meals, insurance, books, parking, all I can say is hopefully I can make it to the end. Then I can quit my job and roam the Earth, stopping here and there to make soap.
It is essentially hot process. So not really, but I found with my successful batch, when you cut it feels a bit sticky so an hour or so and it's ready to go.
So looking at many recipes for Transparent Soap and the common denominator is Alcohol, Glycerin, and Castor Oil. I understand the first 2, but does anyone understand the magic that is Castor Oil?
Is there a good alternative?
