Not sure if there will be much interest but thought I would show you some photos of where I live....on a coffee farm. They show coffee trees under irrigation, coffee tree about to blossom and one in full flower. The flowers have a lovely sweet fragrance. Will post more photos once the cherries...

Not sure what type of lizard he is. They are very common here in the houses, eat mosquitoes, flies etc so good to have around. I live in Zambia, Africa not california unfortunately!

Hi GDS, are you using EO'S or fragrance oils?

I love the shampoo bars but they really fade my hair colour quickly. Seriously considering giving them up for this reason.

Haha good one TEG!! It's true Deeanna about harmful stuff we don't even think about. So next time you pull off a luggage label stick the ends together, lesson learnt. And just as a side note this label had been on the suitcase for about 5 years if not longer as we have not used that case again...

Rescued this little guy today. He had got stuck onto a luggage tag, took a bit of time and water to release him.

Thank you Shunt for those suggestions. Natural beeswax is so cheap here, but obviously not the way to go for solid perfume.

I have tried making solid perfume but the smell of the beeswax just comes through the fragrances I use. I hate the smell of beeswax, is there no way of getting rid of it!!

I have also switched to HP recently, as the fragrance oils I get from South Africa are terrible, they cause ricing, etc. have been informed recently that the some suppliers down there add DPG and other stuff to make them go further, typical!! I now do mine the same way as Ridgeway Soap Works...

I totally agree with you N_A, would love someone on here to do a tutorial on labels, it's something I am really struggling with. I have Printmaster and still can't figure it all out, but then again I am 'special' when it comes to techie things! Also I agree that your labels look great...

Hi and welcome. I am from Zambia, so not too far away from you. I am sure you are addicted to soap making like the rest of us and how wonderful you have your grandmothers recipe still, real history right there. This is a great forum with many helpful and knowledgeable people, enjoy.

Was thinking, all this talk about coffee if anyone would be interested in photos of coffee trees as I live on a coffee farm! Don't drink the stuff though, oh the irony....1200ha of coffee and I don't drink a drop!
