What's people opinion who have used 100% coconut soap vs 100% coconut liquid which cleans better for heavily soiled laundry. Which is more gentle. Does anyone have a surfactants formula for detergent? Also does any have any ideas on getting rid of mould from towels.

Thanks for you responses. The butters I have been using I realise are just an oil plus hydrogenated vegetable oil. But I think that is not good. It might be just better to add an oil to Shea butter and whip it. I like the convenience and thickness. One oil I like is the Nuxe dry oil from France...

Hi what is the best single oil or butter for you face. I am adverse to be making facial creams etc as an worried about contamination etc. What single oils or butters do you use for your face if you do so? For youth and suppleness.

What about Hemp seed oil that is very pricey but Bronner's uses it and some luxury soap markers used it in small quantities.

Also can I just get any old silk from old clothes?

If soap is made with lye excess like - 1% does it eventually go to zero after leaving it long enough?

Yes sigh it's not cheap the $15/L is even the lowest grade one. Wonder what oils they used in the blend.

Is Avocado oil worth getting to sub in for some of Olive in a recipe. Avocado refined oil is $15/L and Olive is is about $5/L

I am open to trying Tallow but is there anyway to duplicate the properties of animal fats using Vegetarian products like adding beewax and butters.
