I've heard people say they tried (and failed) making soap with hard liquor. I assume it's the alcohol content or the sugar in the alcohol that makes it a fail.

That shop listing for the 2 black molds says just about the same thing as the white ones I got... some forumulas may require a liner. Mine do because I usually don't gel my soaps and sometimes I forget to put in Sodium Lactate so I usually have soft bars.

I saw those yesterday after watching Catherine use her kit from ED. I'm tempted by the mold and the coffee kit. I can't justify more spending this paycheck though... it'll have to wait until next time

I use powdered goat's milk and powdered buttermilk in all of my soaps. It works great!!! I use roughly 1/2 tbsp ppo (I don't really measure it out exactly)

Unless it's formulated for wax, the liquid colorants will stay in little tiny balls and sink to the bottom. Makes for an interesting effect in those clear clamshells lol. It's sad the things I've tried with my wax and failed miserably.. lol
