I don’t usually master batch lye. I do mix it the night before on most occasions. I find if I melt my hard oils and let them cool to room temp, I have a much better soaping experience. I like soaping with everything at room temp.

I am new to this. One of my earlier bars was so soft because of too much water. I cut it up and made a mosaic bar with white of the same scent. It is beautiful!!!

I have very hard water. My skin is average, not oily or dry. I have gone to 0 superfat and I love the way my skin feels. I did use superfat in my first shampoo and shaving soaps but they are curing. No verdict yet!

Isn’t Nag Champa a floral? I also like the Gardenia and you don’t have to make it very strong.
