Hi Carolyn, I've used both water and oil soluble TD, and haven't noticed a differance. For some reason, white is the hardest color for me to achieve, despite using oils/butters that should help :-( I'll use your suggestion as a starting point and see what happens.

Hi terr! Are you only able to weigh out whole numbers on your scale? I think generally, the rule of thumb is to round down the lye and up the oil, but your combined rounding is adding quite a bit extra oil if you do that and superfat. Have you run the new numbers through soapcalc? I would do...

Welcome! From one perfectionist to another! If nothing else, soaping has helped me let go of some of my ideals. You may have a specific idea in your head, but your soap has another one altogether, so you just roll with it. Congrats on your success and sticking with it!

So far, the scent is holding true to what it was OOB. It did hold trace back forever! I haven't had a FO do this yet.
