    Silicone Molds

Penelopejane - you're gonna LOVE how easy it is to unmold soap from a silicone mold! Just one suggestion - make sure you don't wash your mold in the dishwasher - always wash by hand so you prolong the life of it for as long as possible. Can't wait to see the creations you come up with!

    Max cure time?

I agree with Dahila. The longer my soaps cure, the better they get!

    Sodium hydroxide U-Do Drain Cleaner

I use Rooto brand lye, however the last few times I purchased it I've been seeing some black speckled pieces in my lye. While this hasn't made any difference in my soap, it does concern me that perhaps I'm really not getting 100% lye like the package says. So, I think it's time to switch to a...

    Patience and Oil Infusions

I'm really excited for you! Another thing that you can infuse are annatto seeds in olive oil. The color that comes from the seeds will turn your soaps either from a light yellow to an orange depending upon how long you decide to infuse them.

    Melt and resolidify Shea?

I found a really good deal on Shea butter. Because I have to buy bulk, I wanted to separate it into smaller chunks to be used as needed. Ultimately I was thinking about melting the Shea butter into silicone molds in 1 ounce increments and store the butter in the freezer until needed. Does anyone...

    Bath bomb – humidity packets?

I work for a packing and shipping company and we sell clay moisture absorbing packets. If I made bath bombs and put them in a Tupperware container with a few of these in there, should that be enough to combat humidity? Just looking for a way to make bath bombs in the summer in a place where it...

    Mixing Titanium Dioxide

    Excellent, thank you so much!

    Mixing Titanium Dioxide

Is there a certain thickness that you want to get it to? Do you want it to be the consistency of nail polish or do you want it to be thicker like a medium trace soap?

    Mixing Titanium Dioxide

This is awesome! How much glycerin to titanium dioxide would you mix? I'd like to make a whole bunch and have it on hand when I need it, but I'm not sure what the ratio should be.

    Hot lye method

I agree with you - it's a shame she's getting ridiculed! I thought it was really cool of her to post the video to show people there is another way of doing things. But....haters gonna hate....

What soapy thing have you done today?

Tonight we attempted bubble bars for the first time using Soap Queen's recipe. My son picked out the colors, squished the dough and then helped pick the Fruit Loops fragrance. We put them in a 200 degree oven for 10 minutes and now the will sit for a week. Excited to try them!
