    Lemon and Cedar Delicate Soap

Looks very pretty, simple and classy! I will make a lemon/cedarwood soap soon....maybe this week. I have 5x lemon. So, you used a 3 parts lemon to 1 part cedarwood....sounds perfect to me.

    New Directions FO

I have bought fo's from them. I have the cranberry-peach-vanilla. I find it too sweet, but my 34-yr old daughter likes it. I do find most of their fo's a bit fake-smelling, too strong or too sweet. I find that mixing some with a bit of eo helps change it to my liking. I love their...

peak's black canyon... omigod i love this one!

just curious to know what you named this soap. I wouldn't buy a soap named "black crayon"....and have had success selling unsold soaps by changing the name or even just the label coloring. What does is smell like? does it smell at all waxy, like crayon?

mms twilight-inspired series -- anyone tried it?

Those soaps look so glamorous, paillo! I would not be able to resist stopping at your booth (if you were to have a booth, that is...)

Guywithsoap: visit my hubby's website at www.soapmaker.ca and click on the 'extras' and 'free tools' button at left, then look at the log mold pictured there. Click on it once and it will show you different views. how it's designed. Enjoy!

    Cute House

I like the way you think, Rielle! I too dream of a small building (of any sort!) on my property - to escape to, dream, nap or craft. Good luck getting yours! Have you seen Tumbleweed houses? a friend of mine bought one, now wants to sell it for $26K (too much for my budget)...

From lavender mint to minty lavender

As soon as the pic came up, my mouth formed a big "Oh!.." and a smile spread over it. Lovely!

    Mountain Man, Irish Jewel, Swish

I love them all - nice work! and it looks like you're having an awful lot of fun soaping. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us. My soaps are so plain, but I still enjoy making them. I just think I might have more fun if I added some color. but for color I usually use powdered oxides, which run...

What do you do with all the soap you make?

by the time i had 300 bars in my soap shelf unit, which DH made me....I dared to go ask him to make another unit!!! that's when he said I had to sell some of it off (after I had given away as much as I could). "Sell my babies???!" I replied. and that was the beginning of a 'thing' out...

    100% Palm oil soap

There was a 'one-oil only' soap swap a few years ago, and I received a bar in my package.... my impression: Very hard bar, little fluffy lather but good stable lather. I rather liked it, but for a cheap and easy soap, I prefer half and half olive oil, palm. Remember "Palmolive soap"? (palm +...

HoneyBunches of soap - new pic

Don't forget, my hubby is 68 (just turned) and semi-retired ( I say 'semi' cuz he still works on Soapmaker and also volunteers a lot with me at the Buddhist monastery near us.) So your hubby has a bit of time yet, let's hope!

HoneyBunches of soap - new pic

Don't forget it took us 11 years to get it this far, and no further. Some soapers have made businesses out of their soapmaking, so I don't find my little hobby workshop all that impressive. I don't have a real business personality.

HoneyBunches of soap - new pic

You're right, Lyn, I am totally spoiled. He initially created the SoapMaker program as a spreadsheet, just for me!.....if I hadn't bragged about it and shared it all over the forums (with those who owned Excel), there wouldn't be a program today. It's still selling slowly but steadily, all...

HoneyBunches of soap - new pic

Thanks for your nice comments! If I get a chance to clean up down there a bit more, I'll show you the rest of my setup. I've been soaping down in the basement laundry room for 11 years now....sheesh, can't believe it's been that long. Time is speeding by so very quickly. I wish I had found...

HoneyBunches of soap - new pic

I call this batch (which is OMH scent) 'Honeybunch'. Are these pics too small? I can enlarge them a bit. Here's the log, with its caramel-colored top (soon each bar will turn caramel-color): Peeling off the lexan is very easy when the soap doesn't stick : (please ignore the dark pool...

    I'm so lost

Did you really mean "DOS"? DOS in soaping circles usually means "Dreaded Orange Spots".....did you say white?.....DOS are not white, more brownish-orange. So, I'm wondering..... could it be your TD isn't mixing in properly, or your colorants aren't completely dissolving, esp the...
