So, my girlfriend has had a tooth pulled and is very sore. She has requested mac and cheese. However, I think she deserves better than what comes out of a box, even if it's one that cost more than 27¢. What are your best mac and cheese recipes?

One of my personal favorites is rosemary and mint. Also really like sage and pine needle.

Where do you get lye cheaply? I buy from Lowe's, which is way over priced.

Why not get some of those "fart bombs" which were ampules of H2S scented oil if I am not mistaken. Usually found at Spencer's or other novelty shops of low standing

I do soap with 45% lard, 45% CO and 10% castor. Its a good soap that cleans well and isn't too harsh. Its not a luxury bar like castille is, but it is a good all around hand/bath soap. It is also white, so colors work well with it. Its versatile in that it does well with both hot and cold...

Ok. Engineer here and someone asked about volume ratios... 8" diameter skillet, and about 2" high judging from the pictures... (8/2)^2*π*2=100.53 in^3 (10/2)^2*π*2=157.08 in^3 157.08/100.53=1.5625 or 1 9/16. So, scaling by 1.5 is pretty close! I know you all wanted to see math tonight...

I wasn't shooting for laundry soap. The comment was about the longevity of the foam created while soaking the crock pot liner. But, thanks for the useful tips. I did a 1% lye excess and neutralized with borax on this run. So I may try this next go around for liquid laundry soap. [emoji6]
