    Beeswax can be challenging for container candles because if that’s what you’re doing. It also doesn’t have great hot throw. Fir melts many people mix beeswax with coconut oil which is great.

    Use a warmer spoon or knife to cut it out.

    Any tips for Melting Hard Oils Without Microwave

    I don’t have a microwave and don’t intend to get one. Whenever I need to heat up anything, I use double boiler method. Will be doing that with oils when I start soaping. I don’t want to get them too hot. And yes, I’ve mistakenly done that when cooking.

    Substitute for coconut oil

    What about Babassu. I don’t get on with coconut, but babassu is ok. Its much less drying than coconut.

    Yellow African Shea Butter Soap

    I’ve bought Shea butter in the market while in Ghana and the lady I used to buy it from had a creamy colour Shea. I do t remember seeing yellow. But it could be different in different parts of the country. Also refined Shea has a different colour.

    Funny you should say that. I just realised I have one in a terrarium. I’ve been looking to buy a couple. I live in the UK so i can’t grow outside, but will surely buy a couple more for inside.

    Thanks so much for this explanation. I’m new but Aloe is something I would eventually like to try. But Aloe Vera juice is so expensive here in the UK. I’ve seen the powder here so I will definitely be trying it in the future.
