I'm a little wacky right now

Take it easy Earlene... I hope you feel more like yourself soon! By the way, they just released all the old ER episodes on HULU if you're looking for something to binge.

    Stick blenders

The only cordless handblender I see is this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X3N9L8S/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 I have no idea how it works other than it's pretty expensive and only has a twenty minute charge. I don't think a milk frother would work - I suspect they wouldn't be powerful...

    CP: Does temperature matter? (lye/oils)

When I first got started I was really careful to make sure my temps were within range... I think we must have been watching the same videos. Now I just estimate it. I start out by making my lye water and then melting my hard oils. I add my soft oils (unheated) to the melted oils. Then I get...

    Interesting Color Technique

That's a lovely technique. Clyde does gorgeous work and is so informative about color theory!

    Pine tar soap

Pine tar is the most challenging recipe I make. I've taken to premixing my pine tar with a little olive oil from my recipe to thin it out/make it easier to get out of my measuring container. I bring my soap batter just to emulsion and then frantically stir in my oil/pine tar mix by hand. I...

    before closing up BB's

Oh, doh on me :) I wait for my bath bombs to fully dry out before sealing them up after a few days. I haven't ever had a problem with scents disappearing on me.

So as Soapers; is Palm oil vegan?

I'm a lover of definitions... palm oil is vegan as it does not contain animal products. However, a lot of vegans might not want to use it so if you're selling to vegans, you'll probably want to skip it. I leave folks to figure out their own rules for behavior that fit within their ethics. I am...

    Tea Tree Soap

For acne, I'd make something very gentle and not-striping for the skin. For the face, you don't want to take off too many oils which just encourages more sebum production. It's all about finding a balance. Some folks' skin just does not like homemade soap on the face. I used to do great with my...

    before closing up BB's

What kind of BB product are you asking about? For things with a heat and hold phase, I let containers cool completely before putting a top on so that there isn't condensation (water) added into the product... think lotions and such. That only takes a few hours though... I wouldn't leave them...

    Ugly soap contest!

I proudly submit the ugliest meatloaf soap... Mine even has sickly yellowy/white/translucent stripes and chunks - looking almost exactly like fat ribbons. Oh yeah, I think I'm the winner here since all of your posted soaps are gorgeous compared to this ugly duckling... I submit for your...

    Curing Method and place

One thing I found after moving from an arid to humid environment... my soaps like to be turned once a week or so to prevent them from curing unevenly. Of course, I could just like the excuse to pick up and hold my precious babies!

    Howdy Folks!

Hey y'all, I've been away for a bit due to general life insanity... still occasionally stalking the forums. I've still been soaping and making B&B, but my online time has been really limited. Things have somewhat settled down, and I've really been missing y'all. It's lovely to see so many...

    Scents you are looking for

I would pay stupid-money for an accurate dupe of Jo Malone's discontinued perfume Sweet Lime and Cedar. I'v tried to recreate it with FOs and EOs, and it's not even close. I've tried perfumes themselves that claim to be a dupe (nope). I've even paid silly money on Ebay for ones claiming to be...
