Sorry that wasn't me. :) My favorite FO for beer soaps is BB's Honey Ale. It doesn't smell great oob, but I think it smells pleasantly beer-ish without being overwhelming.

They could be spots or bubbles. If you rub them, do they smooth out?

Oooo, try the Crisp Anjou Pear and blend with Champagne. It's really nice in soap and in other B&B. Also, see if they will give you a sample of Ginger Patchouli. It's my all time favorite (behaves perfectly and the patch isn't super noticeable... folks that HATE patch still love it - only when...

Ditto to what was said about just needing to test to see what stick and fades. Some of my anecdotal tips: Oven processing makes things fade faster for me. White Kaolin has made a very minor difference. But it isn't going to make a fader really come back. I only bother with it when I suspect...

I get those bumps too sometimes... To minimize them, try running the bar over a hard surface right after cutting. My theory on it is that they are really teeny air bubbles. I seem to get them worse when I've been sloppy about introducing air into my batter.
