When you mixed your lye, did you keep stirring it until it was completely dissolved?

    Soap for men?

My guys have very strong feelings about salt bars. Those that do a lot of hands-on work and have cuts/scrapes absolutely hate even touching the bars. The others love them. They all seem to like my regular soaps, beer soaps, and pine tar bars. I don't change my recipe for them. As for scents...

    Speckled Colour in Bath Bombs

Sorry my recipe is downstairs, and I messed up my back so I'm going off of possibly faulty memory... I want to say I use 1% or 2%. :)

Purchasing my first slab mold - BB with dividers?

I didn't notice that the Nurture slab mold doesn't have dividers... bummer. For the BB one, I just let the wooden top rest on the top of the silicone mold. It's never a problem for me - it just isn't a snug fit... if that makes sense. :)

    Speckled Colour in Bath Bombs

Ahhh, I use poly 80 in my oils+FO+liquid colorant so mixes in really easily. Mainly I use poly 80 to disperse my oils into the bath water instead of the tub sides. But I guess it also helps me with my colorant too! Do you normally add water to your recipe? I'd be worried about premature fizzing.

    Speckled Colour in Bath Bombs

It looks like your colorant needs to be mixed in more. Either add liquid colorants to your oils or spend *a lot* of time rubbing your mixture together. I do it like a cartoon villian slowly plotting my revenge.

Purchasing my first slab mold - BB with dividers?

I have their 9 bar one and like it a lot. I highly recommend getting the silicone liner for it. I initially bought it without the liner and found that putting in the dividers often tore holes in my freezer paper. The only downside is that the lid doesn't fit snugly on the box with the liner - it...

Help with a slow fizz bath bomb recipe

Have you ever tried using oils in your recipe? Mine take a long time with 5-8% mango/cocoa/shea butter added.

Newbie, if I haven't mentioned it before... Thanks for this thread! Even when I only have a couple of minutes, I always check it out. It really cheers me up to drool over photos when I've had a draining day and feel like my head is filled with tapioca pudding.

    Crumbling problems

I'm guessing it's your combination of butters (35%) and CO (30%). I normally keep my butters under 10% or my bar starts having a weird texture. Even my vegan friendly soap keeps it below 15%. I don't have a lot of experience with your type of recipe though so I'm just guessing...
