    SLMI Shampoo Bars

I tried a few different ways but have not been able to find a way to make a good bar - also, it doesn’t smell very good. If you are looking for a good substitute for sls I would really recommend slsA and SCI. They are great alternatives

What soapy thing have you done today?

Just cut my Princess Leia and What’s new Pussycat soap. My cutter screwed up a little, but it’s nothing I can’t fix. Also made pure coconut Dish Soap.

Syndet shampoo bar recipe help needed

I don’t have me recipe at hand but if I remember correctly, I added it to the cool down phase where preservatives are added (while still mixing it in my kitchen aid. I’d have to have a look but I think I used 2% CC

Syndet shampoo bar recipe help needed

I have curly hair and formulated a bar that seems to do my hair pretty good. I use a total of 70% dry surfactants (SLSa and SCI), don’t need to add any sodium lactate because the solid content is high enough. Kokum butter sounds good, though I use mango butter or Shea butter. I also add...

Yeah, didn’t even look at the time it takes to make them... thought it would just put me off 😂. It did take a while though.... guess making them more often and getting practice would help the speed

    Shave Soap in a Cup?

Great! Mine should be the same size. I only have two gents that shave wet and will be testing before I make more. I‘d love to see all the pics.

    Shave Soap in a Cup?

I have my soy wax shaving soap drying right now. I actually started off hot process but my crock-pot died on me 🤦‍♀️ So it’s kinda half and half... got up to apple sauce stage. I hope it turned out ok. It seems to be making a great lather so far. 🤷‍♀️

    Shave Soap in a Cup?

May I ask what price you are selling yours for? The mugs are pretty expensive. I’m paying just over 3 bucks each for them (shipping included). Would you just add the cost of the soap to that?

    Shave Soap in a Cup?

That’s a great idea, thank you. The lids are just pretty as the original packaging. The ones without lids are cheaper, so that’s another plus point.

    Shave Soap in a Cup?

I read that they might be a little to deep and that the smooth surface isn’t great for the lather 🤷‍♀️. May I ask if you used a CP or HP recipe?

    Shave Soap in a Cup?

Hi! I was thinking about making shaving soap in enamel cups/mugs - now I’m not sure it’s a good idea. At first I though I’d first ask if it’s ok to pour the batter directly into enamel or if it somehow influences the quality of the soap? But now I’m not sure if it’s a good idea because of the...

Tried that but it turned out a sticky mess that did not harden. I think I will try the recipe above and have a look if I can tweak it. Will keep you posted
