    Market Check Out Station

For the last several years at the weekly farmers market, I have a rolling zip tote bag with all of the bags, pens, etc. It has compartments for all of these items. If it is windy I just leave the bags in the tote and have it sitting just under the table so I can reach and grab bags out (if not...

    Bath milk powder recipe?

No, the Coconut milk doesn't leave oil in my tub. You can adjust the quantity of Natrasorb to fit your water condition. I get my Coconut Milk from here. You can purchase different sizes. www.bulkfoods.com/wholesale-milk-powder/2983-Coconut-Milk-Powder-5-pounds.html

    Bath milk powder recipe?

I just use Coconut Milk Powder and add 1 tsp of Natrasorb to each 16 oz by volume Milk Powder. I drop my essential oils into the Natrasorb and cut it in to the Milk Powder. Works great and I don't have a milky ring around the tub.

    Post your Gripe

My Gripe. Mother Nature decided to give us straight line winds and a huge Maple came crashing down into my 15 year old Koi Pond. Koi have been relocated. We will fill most of the hole in but try to save part of the liner for a big enough area to have my water Lily named Comanche to survive...

What to do with all that soap?

Just walk in to the Food Bank with your box of soap. They will take your name and address. I deliver my farm fresh eggs weekly there and asked them if they would like some handcrafted soap. They said they accept anything for eating or personal care. Ingredients need to be listed on your...

New to Forum :) Have a au natural B.B. question...

There is no scent with the Natrasorb. I have some of the Slick Fix also and reach for the Natrasorb instead. I feel it performs better.

    Soap curing

Soapmaker 123, I take my soaps into my bakers drying rack with the egg crate shelving on a plastic serving tray and arrange my soaps, so I don't mess with the egg crate shelves and only carry what I can manage. I love it as I don't have to turn the soaps and the ease of taking the egg crate out...

    Soap curing

I cut to size small plastic egg crate made for light louvers to set my soap on in the bakers rack instead of pans. If it is a solid bottom set the egg crate on small pvc couplings to raise it up for good air circulation. I can pull the plastic out, wash them up to get any dried soap residue...

Yikes! Household Hazardous Materials (HHM) permit?

Update. Talked with the DNR this afternoon. She stated I didn't need a permit. She would take my name off of the list. If I put together a kit to make soap with hazardous materials or if I sold Essential Oils which are flammable, then I would need a permit. I told her I wouldn't even think...

Yikes! Household Hazardous Materials (HHM) permit?

I do have this with the Iowa Department of Revenue. Got it back in 2014. May be because I just put crafts as the activity instead of bar soap and metal designs as I also make copper designs. I have all my paperwork together so it is easy access.
