Sculpted Layers Soap Challenge - City Skylines

This month the soap challenge club theme was sculpted layers. It was really hard work and I've been tight for time this month so it nearly killed me to get it done. Here is my entry in the end though, it's meant to look like a city skyline.

    Round Clear sheet labels

I use my punch on label sheets - it's white pvc waterproof labels. You have to do it in one quick sharp motion and use quite a lot of force and they pop out.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Attempting sculpted layers for the great cakes challenge. I tried something a bit intricate so I'm not sure it will have worked.

Wanna see the Airstream I just brought home (2500 miles) to turn into a mobil

It's lovely maya - they are such beautiful things. You don't see them much over here in the UK. They are much bigger inside than I would have imagined too. Love seeing the progress you are making and can't wait to see it finished. Keep posting pics please, I am enjoying seeing them :)

A little kitchen knife, like those u would use to cut up apples works well too if you can't find the knife u were looking for Teresa.

It was not a problem my soapy heart, don't worry yourself about it :) I'm so glad you are excited about this black dog. I really enjoyed carving out the pieces for my soap. I think I will definitely have another go at some point.

What soapy thing have you done today?

On that note, has anyone had any luck with stabilising vanilla in cold process soap? I always try to work with the brown shade, but sometimes I wish there was a way to stop it turning brown.

SMF June Challenge - Mosaic Soaps

I am happy to accept entries that are made entirely with melt and pour. It would be nice to have some new participants who don't make cold process taking part. The more the merrier. These challenges were set up to be a learning experience and for us to get to know each other so it would be...

What is everyone up to today?

Thanks for letting me in on your lives, I love to know what other people are up to, lots of different and varied things going on! I don't think I could stand the heat if it was in the over 40C it was bad enough in the sun today with the sea breeze. I had a lovely day but am a bit sun burnt, I...

    Peaky Blinders

Can you get black books on Netflix? It's one of my favourite comedies of all time, I own the dvd's and I rarely ever watch to shows more than once. It is dark sarcastic British humour and it still makes me laugh even though I have seen it a ton of times.
