Pumpkin pie spice by ulrurunaturals posted Sep 22, 2018 at 8:01 PM here's the pumpkin pie spice soap everyone gave me comments on I like how it turned out..and the white on the top is soda ash. I like to embrace the ash cause it can be a visual effect to the over all look of the soap naturally.
Yes guess that's a valid point. I tried a raw version .Of a color layer a couple of years ago. It was red and white. I call it my Christmas soap. I put about 7 essential oils in it. It made about 5 pounds of soap. My first attempt at a larger batch more complex soap. Everyone loved and it wss my...
Thank you I just plugged some numbers into a soap calc and wammo! I dont make any soap without oilive oil. I also make little 2 ounce 99% olive oil and 1% coconut oil facial soaps. With a simple mold. I guess I started my adventure off with one of the most challenging oils especially for a...
For me the creative outlet is "soaping it'self" it's the whole process from mixing the lye and water to melting the oils to chealation to putting the sodium lactate and the scent in now I'm working on additives like colloidal oatmeal I did my first loaf a week ago can't wait to see what it...
this is my finished curing pumpkin spice soap with tumeric and pumpkin pie spice. Scented with frankenscence mryh and lavander essential oil. Thank you to everyone who advised me on the is of pumpkin pie spice. I also added colloidal oatmeal. My first time using that as an additive.
My name is James I am from Utah. My first soap was olive oil soap. The first time I tried to make it I put too little lye in it. without knowing what to expect I mixed it for over an hour with no success. Then I retried the recepie. the second time I was successful. Ever since then I've been...
Sure I made this thread cause I really love to see the soap form a life of it's own. That's why I dont plan .colors I do solid colors love watching the morph.
you might be over thinking it. Apply the current batch color on a sticker that hasn't been peeled off yet let it dry amd peel it off when. Dry then put in on the top of the lip gloss display then they will see the true color of the lip gloss balm etc. Maybe apply it to a sheet of stickers so...
Will you elaborate on the cleansing numbers....what range do you feel they should be in. This will help me better understand the process of soaping in general. Thank you
Yes this is true and has always been my phylosophy.
Seems u have quite the customer base. so far my customers have loved my lillac soap. With a hint of purple coloror morphing. Well my customer base is like 2 people lol
Yes because you are good at what you do that's why you can:)
It appears to me to be "6's"based on the raw data. Cocoa butter would deff make for a harder bar due to the density of cocoa butter but based on this data I would say it would make little to no difference in the "ablity to lather" density of lather I'm sure would be neglegable maybe a tiny bit...
I've only been soaps since last August and it's been a wonderful journey. I've made over 100+ bars and have just now started using additives such as activated charcoal and recently colloidal oatmeal. and have been experimenting with natural color options such as tumeric etc. I know people want...
Yeah sounds good. So does Manteca by itself make a relatovly hard bar? Maybe I'm getting Manteca mixed up w palm oil LOL I mean there's really no getting that mixed up. So what about just palm oil? That boosts lather too right? I like to use Crisco. Would Crisco and pine tar produce more lather...
