    Are these good soap numbers?

I soap this way to high. I should have known better, but i was trying to see if I could. Guess not. It smells great. Soaped with Lime Leaf & Lilly from BCN. When I put it in the mold it looked like really hard lumpy mashed potatoes. Had to mush it down really hard and pack it good...

    Are these good soap numbers?

Paul, I have been soaping since the end of Oct 2007, so I am a newbie, but I have never had a batch seize on me like this one did. Almost didn't get it out of the pot. Should I see how it cures or just rebatch it? I used a small piece to wash my hands, and it lathers great. PS. I...

    Batch #19 Orange Floral

Oh Wow Neil, I bet that smells so good. I love the bright orange color, and the swirls are great. Question, Do you make those boxes yourself, or have them printed? And where can I get some?

    Are these good soap numbers?

I'll have to remember that one. This is the first time I have ever had one do that. Here's a picture. Looks like rebatch, but it's not. It was suppose to be bright green swirls, but they turned pink. Never had that happen before either.

    Are these good soap numbers?

Thanks Marr. I'll keep this in mind the next time I soap. Made the above batch today with Lime Leaf & Lilly, and that sucker got hard as cement before I could get it in the mold. I'll give it a try again tomorrow.

    Bath butter from CP soap

Okay tried it again. This is what happens if you whip it too long. Very, very airy. Okay, took the one I made the other day, and re-whipped it. This is alot better. Made roses out of the whipped soap. The pink ones on the top of soap bars. The other roses are CP soap, didn't gel...

    Bath butter from CP soap

How much soap are ya'll using at a time? I may have put to much in the bowl. Mine never did get fluffy and I still had small pieces of soap you can see. My mixing bowl was full and I only used 1/2 cup of hot water. Do i need to up my water?

    Bath butter from CP soap

Here's mine. I couldn't get it as smooth as the first post. I put this one in the microwave for 30 seconds, it came up over the top of the bowl, but it made it alot smoother. In jars. It feels like rubber, but it lathers great!

    Bath butter from CP soap

I'm giving this a try tonight. Have lots of shavings left over from some rebatching and trimmings. Wonderful idea.

    New soap

For the colors I use BCN's Gel Tone Colors, and for the swirls, I do swirl in the pot. But you have to make sure the batch is not real thick. Take out some of your soap, and add color, then hold it really high above the pot when you pour it, then lower the pour closer and finish pouring. I kind...
