Does anyone have a good recipe for rebatching?

I've only had to rebatch once so far. When I did I think I only added 1/4 c water or less even ppo. It worked out great. My friends really went for that soap. Just don't give up. Keep trying. Laurie

Too late to unmold from PVC pipe? Won't come out! (SOLVED)

Sorry, can't help, I have never soaped with lard. Maybe if you give it 3 hrs and then check and if it's still not ready, another 3hrs, etc. Or you could pop that sucker out and cut your losses if you have to. Alot of it is trial & error. I know how hard it is to wait. Your scent sounds...

Pardoning my ignorance (once again), what is Pine Tar? Is it an EO or is it mud or is it a powder or what? Thanks, Laurie

    First batch!

Interpretation, Spock!!! I think what Lovehound might be saying is that the soap is gelling at 123 F in a 75 F room. Would that be right Lovehound? lol Laurie

2nd Bad batch. What am I doing wrong?

I didn't check your recipe but is it possible you added the wrong amount of something without realizing it. That happened to me once. Laurie

    First batch!

Wow, what a beautiful color. I would say you probably needed at least double the amount of EO for 3 lb. Very nice soap though. Laurie

Couple questions about Lye, RT and

You can mix your lye up ahead of time in large batches. There are many here who do that and have done it for some time. It doesn't lose it's strength, but I don't suppose you would want to keep it around for too long. There are many threads on this forum that would answer your questions...

First try at a marble effect

That really looks like marble. I like the photo, a light soap against the dark background. Well done. Laurie

    favourite scent Blends

After swirling that is the next thing I intend to work on. But way back when I took a soap class we blended vanilla, lavendar and patchouli. I tried to duplicate it at home but it just didn't smell as good. I probably had different brands. Laurie

    CP Soap Crust??? (HELP)

It does sound like partial gel. It doesn't bother me if that happens. But I'm probably too lazy to rebatch. Laurie
