    Hi, thank you for the response @Maple_Street_Bath. Shelf life was my only concern. The recipe I used was similar. With HO sunflower oil, instead of OO. Just didn't want to jump in with both feet. To fast. Thank you again.

    Hi, used the tallow/palm setting on "soap makers friend". Just looking to replace. The straight tallow I have. When it runs out. It did make a really good bar of soap. 2 Different cans on the shelf at Walmart. But only one setting in the calculator?

    Hi, thank you for the replies. Used crisco in my very first 2 batches. Only time I've seen dos. But using cost saving ingredients. Brings new challenges. Dos being one of them. I have a high CO recipe. For a mechanic/coffee scrubby soap. That I want to use it in.

    Hi, this is the basic trinity recipe of cp soaps. And does make a good bar of soap. Started with it myself. But it can be made better. Swap tallow or lard for palm oil. Add 10% or more of a butter, shea, cocoa... just a couple of ideas. Good luck.

    bubbles is my soap

    Hi, avoiding air.... always pour over/down something, shaft of stick blender, blade of spatula, etc. No stick blender on small batches. Impossible not to introduce air. Spatula or whisk only. Tap mold on counter after pour. To force air to surface as you're experiencing. Good luck.

    Fragrance oil seperation

    Hi, I gave it 24 hours. And it re-absorbed. When it happened to me. Read that somewhere. Didn’t have any issues. With it being lye heavy. I just used less. Next time around. Used to much and i knew it. Good luck.

    Does anyone add Titanium dioxide directly to lye water?

    Hi, put a couple three, stainless steel ball bairings. In the premix container. Then give it a shake. Every now and then. When you walk by. This has helped me with td spots, specks in my finished soap. Went from using water. To oil as well, to mix my TD.
