    Soap in Freezer

we used to keep purchased soap in the fridge (before I knew any better), and I hated it. you'd take it out and it would sweat and start melting. so annoying. well made soap should last in a cool dark place (unused) for years, unless oils were poor quality or prone to rancidity.

    Bamboo Silk??

Interesting CaraBou! Thanks for sharing As for corn silk in soap, I've seen Soaping101 add it to one of their soaps. I think it was some fall soap... I may have to give it a try since it's corn season...

How do people respond to your soap?

Most of the feedback I get are that people love it. It's hard to tell if they actually have something constructive to say as they are friends and may not want to hurt my feelings... I did get great feedback once about a scent blend they didn't like. But, I didn't like that blend anyway, so it...

Would You Still Buy The Product?

I haven't yet. not b/c I don't want to, but b/c I have a personal preference of no-palm, and every soap ingredient so far has palm in it..... but I've noticed there aren't too many soap makers in my area. maybe I need to start selling??

    Essential oils

if you do your research, you'll see that certain EOs are not recommended for pregnant women. e.g. rosemary, sage, lavender to name a few. I don't sell so i can't tell you what to do in that instance.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Renos suck! Esp since you personally don't have any control over the whole thing. I'd be badgering my landlord if I were you..... hope the madness will be complete soon, and you get to go back to soaping. I still haven't soaped. I'm OCD about what mold I want, and I think I'll need to make my...

Bricks & Mortar Shop in Ontario - Colourants & EO/FO

I'm not sure if there are any.... maybe check some of the suppliers online and see if they allow you to physically go and shop? I know NDA doesn't (just happened to read their policy recently), but there are other suppliers who's names slip my mind at the moment...

    Pricing for Lip Balms

What's the market rate foir handmade lip balms in your area? I would start there bc different areas will have different prices. Also, I'm not sure if there is a formula for lip balm pricing similar to soap (eg 4x the cost).
