I've found that i'm less likely to get soda ash if i cover the soap for at least 2 days. Even covering with a paper towel after unmoulding seem to help. This might all be in my head though... but as long as i think it helps. :D

Oh. About re-creating the soap. I've decided to not make anymore soap now until i've had the chance to test at least one bar of each batch. What's the point in tweaking a recipe a couple of days a week (i'm insane) when you don't even know if the first one you made is any good? :crazy:

I forgot to mention that i'm pretty sure the yellow one overheated. Some of the spots on that one were hard and waxy and it had lost all scent. The rest of the spots were just translucent as shown in the brown soap. Yup, they were all made in milk cartons. Standing milk cartons with screw cap...
