    I ended up ordering from essentialoils.org they are having a great sale on lavender and after reading a few reviews about their 40/42 I went ahead and bought a kilo to split with a friend for $37 and a kilo of sweet orange ($10) and a pound of spearmint ($25) and 4 ounces of clary sage...

    Do you polish your bars? how do you polish them?

    I have 3 kids... I soap from home, i also have a thriving waldorfy toy business of handmade toys. And a husband who does not help around the house... I keep seeing gorgeous soaps out there... people who are "polishing" their soaps... should I be doing this? All I can picture is my nursling...

    trying to think of a good fall type essential oil blend...

    I have pmpkin pie spice I want to swirl in it... I have some nutmeg and cinnamon essential oil. A friend who has made EO soaps for years said as long as I use 1/2 tsp or less to a 4 pound batch I should be ok on the sensitivity of cinnamon issue... any ideas?

    I am finding this extremely interesting -

    I often use mostly or all ice cubes when I blend my lye :D though, to be honest, I don't temp my lye anymore... I use a stick blender and just do the lye first, with ice, then melt the oils and then blend them fast :) I, too have kids ;) and need to maximize my soaping time without...

    I saw a website with this cool layered soap with PERFECTLY straight layers and had to give it a try... I should have known that me and straight things don't work... i can't sew a straight line, can't cut a straight line... can't walk a straight line, LOL... but I think the soap came out...

    trays? I want to purchase the milky way mold trays.. the little 15 adn 16 bar mini guest sized molds... has anyone here used them? do they make straight up and down bars or do they have a slant on the sides? Are you happy with them? Reviews? Hate em,. love em? thanks so much!

    Clary sage

    I love it ;) I use it with everything... if you want something sweet and herby use it with spearmint. if you want something foresty and bright/earthy (if that makes sense) try it with patchouli. :)
