I have to say I am in love with New Direction Aromatics too. And especially since they have waived their small order fee. :D :D

    Natural Laundry Soap (no shredding)

Mike...I know I pm'd you back when you posted this. I don't like to use lard and I know CO is suppose to be so cleansing. Would that be a good substitute or should I just use Palm or Crisco(vegetable shortening). TIA, Laurie

    Wooden Moulds and NOT Gelling?

I am in Canada and we have had very severe cold weather. I have put my wooden molds in the garage which is essentially like putting in freezer. So freezer or fridge or you may get some gelling. A fan may work as well. You may have to experiment a little. Laurie

    Need help quick!!!!

Yes it would be a soupy disaster. Milk is a liquid and is treated just like water in your recipe. I always dissolve my lye in the aloe juice and have never had a problem with this. I add this to my oils. Then I add my milk. I do everything RTCP. (Room Temperature Cold Process). HTH :)...

    Fellow Canucks

I live in Saskatchewan where it is extremely cold.  We have been in a cold snap for 3 weeks with one day of slight reprieve. This morning when I woke up it was about -36C (close to -40F). I haven't been posting much this past year. Haven't made much soap because I started...

50 lb cube of palm kernel from Soapers Choice

I mentioned your dilemma to my husband because I also have a 50 lb cube waiting to be used. I am still using up some flakes first. I didn't realize how hard it is. He suggested an industrial planer or shaver, something similar to a cheese shaver/slicer but industrial like. Laurie

    Aloe in Soap

Yes Chrissy I am one of those soapers who add my lye to aloe all the time. I do the 50/50 solution that a few of the people on here do. I have never had it burn or anything. :) It sure makes you wonder doesn't it. HTH. Laurie
