Made my first feather swirl today. We'll see how it goes! Also uncovered but haven't yet unmolded my first line pour, which I did yesterday. Love a long weekend for finally having enough time to try new designs.

I surprised the heck out of myself today by making my first body butter. I had a couple loaves of soap planned and then my hands were dry and I was annoyed about it so I just looked up body butter and did one of those first.

Now it's looking correct. Screenshot attached. Maybe I imagined the several times I looked and the divider was showing first ... maybe it's just past my bedtime.

Thank you. The one called "two bars" is the one I posted first, and the one I intended to have judged. While I realize it sounds weird, I swear I checked it several times and it was showing first at first. @Relle I'll try editing and see if I can fix it.

Question for folks who've done this before. When I first submitted my entry, I attached the photo with two bars of soap first. For a few days it showed as the first photo. Now it looks like the last photo. I haven't changed anything. Does this happen sometimes? Will people use the two-bar photo...

Thanks. That sounds like a good idea. I'm playing with herbs a lot lately too, so a salve based on an infused oil seems like it could work. I might leave the emulsions to later.

I haven't made a bath and body thing yet ... but I have a whole bunch of containers that need to be filled with bath and body things, and I have oils, and I have herbs, and I'm going to start learning about lotions and salves! Newbie resources welcome :) although I'm finding plenty by searching too.

This is the first time I've used a mold with dividers (thank you @Vicki Carr !) and the first time I've used this much yellow ... maybe ever. (Related: I've had the Coldplay song stuck in my head all week.) Included the split batter even though it's pretty obvious this is more than 50% yellow...

Made my soap, cut, took pics! I'm not sure I have the patience or sensibility to REALLY enter into the spirit of the challenge, since I can't be bothered to set up better photos than the first few I snapped ... maybe I'll become more of an instagrammer in the next couple days and take some...

Update: my color swatches did not gel, so all the colors look different from how they look in most of my soaps. 😂 Of course! Will have to try again, and maybe CPOP em?
