most soap makers have different oil and salt percentages that they like that works for them . that squeaky clean feeling you get means the CO too high for you . you can lower it and still get rich lather because the CO is still at a high %. i personally make my salt bars at 70% CO with my salt...

i use distilled water . i make it just like one would make regular "tea" , in that i boil the water and pour over the tea / herbs and allow to steep until cool or to room temp. and i either freeze or refrigerate until i am ready to use, which can be months later.

thanks Morpheus , that's roughly what i was looking at trying to figure which one i was going to go with. i figured that the EVOO is such a small per-centage in the overall composition that i will chose canola to plug in the calc. i included pic of the brand i got stuck with.
