    Hi, I just PM'd someone with an ad from Feb. but in case that ad was too old ;) I'm also looking to find someone local who has NaOH to sell or who would split an order. thelyeguy.com has 12 lbs (6 2lb containers) for 26.25 plus shipping. I'd love to split that with someone (or a few people)...

    Just wondering if anyone does this? i have yet to try and make soap - slowly gathering materials, but was originally inspired by one I used sold by Tropical Traditions - its only ingredients listed are saponified coconut oil. They actually call it a shampoo bar, but I used it as body and face...

    newbie equipment question

    How important is it to have soley-for-soap equipment? I have a hand blender but I use it frequently for food prep; would I be unwise to use it for emulsifying the lye and oils? TOTAL newbie - hope that's not too dumb of a question! :) Thanks!
