Hi all... I was thinking about adding a small amount of salt to some CP soap I am about to make. Would a small amount of salt 2tsp in a 32 ounce batch hinder bubbles? I have sodium lactate as well. Could I use both or do one or the other? OR Could I add sugar to counteract the salt? Let...

My HDPE mold supports gel like crazy! It becomes so hot that I wouldn't dare think about insulating. Its the heat process. 8)

This fine. I recently had soap that didn't gel until almost 24 hours later! It surprised me, because I went to cut and it was warm and getting soft when I checked it. I suspect it was FO. Be patient as it can take a couple days before you can un-mold and cut. :)

This was a peppermint soap I did few days ago and my husband comparing me to a frog. I had to share as Christmas stuff is already out!

I love Cran Fig... from BB? I don't think it particularly smells like the name but its lovely never the less. I have some soap that is over a year old with Cran fig and the scent is still going strong! It soaps beautifully!

Its all liability, kind of like how physicians will do things "off label" but won't directly say this drug will work for this issue because its meant for something totally different. thanks for sharing and trying to investigate as well! I do know that the pine tar we get should say creosate...

My next attempt is a pine tar soap. Is there one brand of pine tar better than another that you would recommend? I read somewhere about being cautious about toxicity or hazards (something along those lines). What exactly do I look for? Thanks in advance!

I would imagine shipping them bubble wrap is effective. Do you plan on using shrink bands around your soap? This will help with protection also.

I like to come up with my own names. It was this forum that helped me rename a fragrance. I don't sell, but I felt odd giving bars of soap called "monkey farts"...its catchy but it felt juvenile, so I named it Tropical Sugar. I think you could name them something else, maybe even something...
