Has anyone made Soap Queens Calendula Cleansing Bar recipe? I have her newest book and found the video. I am concerned of the values I get, and wondering if this is a nice bar? I realize sometimes the best bars might have the craziest values. However, the title says cleansing...the values show--...

Hi Soapers... I have a question. I decided to chunk up some soap that I made yesterday. I un-molded and it was weeping lots of oil and had a hole from where the white layer (top of soap) met the swirl layers. I have never rebatched before, because I haven't had too many disasters (lucky me)...

Im not sure the rules in Canada, but in the US, if it is "true soap" then it technically doesn't have to have ingredients listed. I don't sell and honestly don't know much on this subject, but I wanted to comment, so hopefully someone will see this and be able to give you a thorough answer.

If you become like BBW or Lush then you better have TM, but selling at a Farmers Market Im not sure I would bother. I guess it depends on how main stream you plan to become or how far you want to take your business. I think that is how I would decide.

Sometimes just sending a "cease and desist letter" is enough for someone to stop using it. I would be willing to spend it and more if it was my business; I would make their life hell, maybe not if it was just a hobby.:D

I weigh all the hard oils/butters first. They are easy to spoon out if you over do it and then depending on the oil...I pour the one that is hardest to control (normally its my OO), because you can spoon out the extra without disrupting the amounts, and pour last something like Castor since its...
