    Shea 50 in liquid soap

Has anyone here tried adding Shea 50 to their liquid soap after dilution? I just happened to notice WSP carries it.

Using SCI in hot process soap

What are you trying to accomplish by adding SCI to HP soap? SCI is a surfactant that soap doesn't exactly need. Are you trying to increase lather?

    Making Whipped Body Butter

This is a base recipe: 25% brittle butters (for example cocoa butter or kokum butter) 25% shea butter 25% soft butter (for example coconut oil, many of the butter blends you find from suppliers) 25% carrier oils 1 tsp of tapioca starch for every 4 oz of butter/oil mixture you of course can...

    Aloe Facial Cleanser

I also use the oil cleansing method with an emulsifier in it. I use PS80 with a touch of E-wax to give it a little thickness. Keeps it from running all over the place when I pour it in my hand.

    Whipped Soap Help

DIY Bath & Body on Etsy sells a foaming bath butter recipe. It's pretty similar to the foaming bath whip that you can buy. I bought it, it's pretty simple to make. The etsy listing tells you what ingredients you will need to purchase in order to make the recipe.

    Vanillan and Activated Charcoal

I made a lumps of coal soap last year for Christmas gifts. I used AC and a kid friendly vanilla FO that had a very high vanillin %. I still got black lumps of coal. Lather is gray, but hasn't stained anything yet.

    Bubble Scoops

I posted the link in one of my first posts in this thread. It's the Nature's Garden Mango Sorbet Bubble Scoops, but I substituted SLSa for the SCI. I use a little mesh bag that I put my bubble bars in and hang from the faucet under the running water, that helps create agitation for better...

    Bubble Scoops

Well, it ends up costing me approximately $0.51 per scoop. Granted that's not exactly cheap, it sure beats paying several dollars per scoop/bar plus shipping from say lush or etsy shops.

    Bubble Scoops

Thanks! I am pretty pleased with that recipe with my tweak..... but now to make another tweak! It's super humid and rainy every single day now, so they got soft, even in a closed package! It seemed to affect the bubble factor once they got soft. Gonna try messing with the glycerin content...

    Bubble Scoops

I haven't tried the WSP recipe....however I have tried this Nature's Garden Recipe: https://www.naturesgardencandles.com/mango-sorbet-bubble-bar-recipe The SCI didn't give the best bubbles, so I remade it using SLSa, that worked really well!

Honey, mix with oils or water?

When using honey in CP, I do a 50% lye solution, and the other 50% is what I add my honey into (which is usually a milk) that I add at light trace. When doing HP, I add the honey in the end after the cook with a little bit of reserved liquid once the soap has cooled down slightly.

    Leaking lip balm tube

Also, you can try putting the tubes in the fridge/freezer to get them cold before pouring into them. That way the warm oil hitting the cold tube will thicken enough to keep from leaking out until the whole tube has solidified.
